The ET Brand Equity-Nielsen survey for 2010 is out. The top brands are given below. Please note that most of the top brands are held by foreign companies and have become household names due to branding and quality of product or service.

  3. Lux
  4. Dettol
  5. Britannia
  6. Lifebuoy
  7. Clinic Plus
  8. Pond’s
  9. Fair & Lovely
  10. Pepsodent

Old faithful HMT is 14th.

  1. Maruti Suzuki

Santro is not in the first 5.

Hot beverages

  1. It is pity that Indian domestic companies are not able to beat HUL and other MNCS. Why didn't Tatas and Birlas build good brands? Reliance is nowhere.

  2. Down with foreign brands. They make too much money and take the money home. Nokia is the latest one. This is how East India Company ruled over India.
